Season 5 (final)
Drops at 08:00 on Thursday, November 26, 2026 in UTC
Netflix Originals drop at 12:00 AM Pacific worldwide. In UTC that lands at 08:00.
Netflix is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. When the platform finalised its global release window in the mid-2010s, engineering picked the home-office midnight as the canonical release instant. Every Netflix Original (with rare exceptions) flips from "Coming Soon" to "Watch Now" at the same UTC instant — which corresponds to 12:00 AM in the America/Los_Angeles zone. Because of daylight saving time, that's 08:00 UTC in winter (PST) and 07:00 UTC in summer (PDT). The local wall-clock time you see depends on where you are, not what Netflix wants to show you.
A small set of co-licensed shows (notably some BBC and ITV co-productions) release at local midnight per region instead of globally synced. Peaky Blinders has historically been one of these. For those titles the converter resolves the drop instant in your own zone, not Pacific. Most Netflix-branded Originals stick to the global pattern though, so when in doubt assume 12:00 AM PT.
A VPN does not make a Netflix release happen earlier. The episode unlocks at one global instant. What a VPN does change is which Netflix library you're looking at: a US exit node shows the US catalogue, which is usually the largest and most up-to-date. That's why "Netflix VPN" searches spike alongside major releases. Netflix actively blocks well-known VPN ranges, so the paid services that invest in rotating IPs (NordVPN being the most consistent in tests) are the ones that survive the detection. Free VPNs typically don't.
